Hello everyone,
I've recently purchased this game from GoG and there happens to be a few issues when applying the 18+ patch.
First, the version on GoG is an earlier update, so applying the 18+ patch of a later update leads to the game refusing to open and the log message 'ValueError: unsupported pickle protocol: 5' coming up. The obvious solution? Downloading the patch for the version on GoG, which appears to be version 2.0.3.
Second, when the above is attempted, it leads to a screen stating that I don't have the most up to date patch and that I should apply the latest version, which, of course, doesn't work.
With all this said, I have some questions:
1. Will the GoG version be updated anytime soon?
2. If the above isn't applicable, is there any way to update the game externally?
3. Am I a complete idiot and just overlooking something extremely simple?
if so,
4. What can I do to fix the above?
The game itself runs when the patch isn't present, so it's not completely game breaking, it's just all a little befuddling.
